We are sponsoring The Race for the Courageous in honor of our Mother Rose O’Connor.  She was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer during the prime of her life at age 59.  She was extremely courageous and brave from the beginning thru her surgery and treatments.  She was diligent in continually researching and educating herself on new treatments and cures.  She believed in the conjunction of Holistic and traditional treatments combined together had great benefits. She refused to allow the disease to defeat her or be told that was a possibility.   She also received amazing support from friends, neighbors, family and in some incidents perfect strangers within her community which in turn gave her amazing strength and power to continue her courageous journey.  The thought of walking in our Mothers footsteps thru Cancer as bravely and courageously as she did, gives us a whole new found respect for her and any people conquering this disease.  Our family’s wish to all individuals fighting Cancer is to persevere through the challenges and embrace the benefits of having a positive attitude, which will draw on your inner strength to never feel defeated.
